Arise

Example:

He arose at 9.30.

他9点半起床。

The next day, Christina arose to find that Michael had risen early and vanished into his office.

Rise

Definition: Move from a lower position to a higher one; come or go up. Get up from lying, sitting, or kneeling. [Oxford Dictionary]【普通用词，指具体的或抽象的事物由低向高移动；起立。】

Example:

She didn't see the mist starting to rise from the ground.

她没有发现起雾了。

His brows rose, and he moved to touch my leg, but I slapped him.

Lift

Definition: Raise to a higher position or level. Pick up and move to a different position. Raise (a person's spirits or confidence). Formally remove or end (a legal restriction, decision, or ban).  [Oxford Dictionary]【语气比raise强，指用体力或机械的力举起或抬起某物；提升士气；正式解除禁令等】

Example:

He lifted his trophy over his head.
