It is often refer to specific punishment made by a judge or court staff after a guilty verdict, such as imprisonment or fine.

A judgment constitutes the final decision of the court and includes the verdict and the sentence imposed. 

Example: When reviewing cases, councils will also need to take into account any fresh case law judgments from the Appeal Court that may be relevant.
