【求疵笔记】汉英词典往往将“热点”解作hot spot。于是汉语中“投资热点”、“开发热点”、“销售热点”的“热点”统统被译成hot spot。实际上，hot spot是指“麻烦地区”、“可能发生动乱的地方”、“森林火灾多发地段”。本译文译作hot issue也不对。Hot issue是指“热门股票”。“热点”可以译作focal point，focus（焦点)，central issue，center（中心点），highlight（亮点）等。

【修改建议】The research on the adoption of IT based on Internet becomes a focal point.

中国的人才流失

【求疵笔记】译文talent flight可能模仿capital flight（资本外逃）而来。其实“人才流失”不完全等同于“人才外逃”。英语有个很形象的说法：brain drain，语音押韵，对仗工整，似乎“人脑”像流体一样可以用管道排放。

【修改建议】brain drain in China

全球化人才竞争已经形成人才流失与人才回流并行的局面。

【求疵笔记】英美报刊模仿“人才流失”brain drain这个说法，把“人才回流”或“人才流入”说成brain gain。另外，keep one's balance不作“并行不悖”解，而作“保持身体、姿势、心态等平衡”解。因此译文可以修改为The global competition for talents has entered upon a new phase, when brain drain and brain gain are concurring simultaneously.稍作分析，我们使不难看出concur本身就作happen at the same time解，所以修改后译文中simultaneously是冗词。如果我们采用concur的名词形式concurrence，那么译文中situation、phase 等也是冗词。

【修改建议】The global competition for talents has resulted in the concurrence of brain drain and brain gain.
